Commercial Metal Systems
24-gauge structural steel and aluminum standing seam with concealed fastener clips, factory Kynar 500 finishes and engineered snow retention — specified for Connecticut wind, ice and thermal movement.
Panel profiles
Field-seamed 180° double lock. The specification for low-slope commercial runs, long panel lengths and high wind exposure.
Taller rib for greater water-carrying capacity and structural spanning over open purlins on warehouse and municipal buildings.
Concealed clip snap-together panel for architectural steep-slope elevations, canopies and entry features. No exposed fasteners anywhere in the field.
Finish & metallurgy
Step 1
Galvalume-coated structural steel for most buildings; .032 and .040 aluminum where salt air along the shoreline would attack steel at cut edges.
Step 2
70% PVDF resin finishes — Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000 — carry 30 to 35 year written warranties against chalk, fade and film integrity. Silicone-modified polyester costs less and fades sooner; we quote it only when asked.
Step 3
Floating concealed clips let panels expand and contract through a 120°F Connecticut swing. Face-fastened panels cannot, which is why their washers leak by year twelve.
Connecticut detail
A metal roof sheds an entire winter's snow load in one release. Over an entrance, a loading dock, a walkway or a parked fleet, that is a liability event.
We calculate ground snow load by town, panel slope and rafter length, then lay out clamp-on bar systems sized to that load — clamped to the seam, never drilled through the panel, so the finish warranty stays intact.
Every proposal includes the retention calculation, the row layout drawing and the clamp manufacturer's load data for your records.
Clamp-on bars sized per town snow load, with drawings issued before install.
Panel lengths, clip type and expansion allowance detailed in the submittal.
Portfolio
38,000 sq ft of 2" mechanically seamed 24 ga steel in matte bronze over a rebuilt purlin deck, phased around the building staying open.
Standing seam re-roof with two-row clamp-on snow retention above every dock door and man-door.
.032 aluminum panels selected for salt exposure, Kynar 500 finish, 35-year finish warranty registered.
